Grady Cathey brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his prior work in school counseling and college admissions. Mr. Cathey earned his undergraduate degree at the UNC Chapel Hill and his graduate degree from UNC Charlotte. He began his career in education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as an Admissions Counselor, ultimately attaining the position of Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Mr. Cathey also spent more than a decade working at West Mecklenburg High School as a School Counselor, where he served as chairperson of the department. It was during this time that he achieved National Board Certification in School Counseling. On a more personal note, he is a proud husband to his wife Karen and father of two adult children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and walking his dogs.
